Welcome to Dandalee! Whether you're listing a single construction product or uploading multiple items in bulk, we’re here to guide you through the process. This article covers the basics of product listing and provides detailed steps for bulk uploads using our Excel template. Let’s get started!

Listing Products Individually

If you’re adding products one at a time, follow these steps to ensure your listings are clear and consistent:

  1. Log In to Your Seller Account

  2. Start a New Listing

    • Click “Add Product” on the top right. You’ll be prompted to enter details about your item.

  3. Fill in Required Fields (check out this article for more info)

    • Name: Use our standard format: [Brand] [ProductType] [Key Descriptor] [Size/Spec] (e.g., Acme Slab Mountain Lion 1200x600mm). This helps buyers find your product easily.

    • SKU: Assign a unique Base SKU (e.g., AC-643-001) for tracking.

    • Description: Write a 50-100 word summary highlighting features, materials, and uses.

    • Specification: Include technical details (e.g., material, dimensions, weight) in a structured list.

    • Application: List where the product is used and how to apply/install it (e.g., “wall cladding, flooring, use slab rubber to hit the product”).

    • Special Info: Add unique notes or warnings if applicable.

    • Image: Upload a high-quality image (recommended format: .jpg, named to match the name, e.g., Acme Slab Mountain Lion 1200x600mm.jpg).

  4. Review and Publish

    • Double-check your entry, then click “Save product” to make your product live.

Bulk Product Upload with Excel

For sellers with multiple products (e.g., variants like different sizes or colors), our bulk upload feature saves time. Here’s how to use it:

Step 1: Download the Template

  • Access your account at https://dandalee.com/seller and navigate to the "Catalog" page.

  • Click “Import bulk” on the top right. You’ll be prompted to enter details about your item.

  • From the pop up, download our Excel template under “Download template.” This template includes columns for Name, SKU, Description, Specification, Application, Special Info, Image Slug, and more.

Step 2: Prepare Your Data (check out this article for more info)

  • Name: Follow the format [Brand] [ProductType] [Key Descriptor] [Size/Spec]. For products with variants (e.g., Acme slabs in 1200x600mm and 600x300mm), list the main product in the “Products List” tab (e.g., Acme Slab Marble Veil White-1200x600mm) and the variants in the “Variants List” tab (e.g., Mat Acme Slab Marble Veil White 600x300mm).

  • SKU: Use a Base SKU (e.g., AC-643-001) for the product family. For no-variant products, this is the only SKU needed.

  • Variant SKU: For products with variants, a variant SKU will be generated automatically when you upload with extra digits appended (e.g., AC-643-001-1 for White, 600x300mm).

  • Description, Specification, Application, Special Info: Fill these as described above, using structured text (e.g., “Material: Clay; Dimensions: 1200x600mm”).

Step 3: Validate and Upload

  • Check Data: Ensure no empty required fields and that names match our convention.

  • Save as CSV: Save as a .xlsx or .csv file.

  • Upload: Go to the “Import bulk” pop up in the Seller Dashboard and upload your file.

  • Submit: Once validated, click “Submit” to add all products.

Tips for Success

  • Consistency: Stick to the naming convention for seamless integration.

  • Variants: For products with multiple sizes or colors (e.g., 8 variants from 4 colors and 2 sizes), list each combination in the “Variants List” tab and reference the product SKU.

  • Test Small: Start with a few products to confirm the process before uploading large batches.
